Spring Training

So baseball season is quickly approaching us.  Just as I am getting my Sundays back from having to watch endless hours of football, baseball is here…not to mention March Madness…ugh…growing up I think I attended all of two baseball games and I don’t remember actually watching the game, but what I remember is my dad taking me and eating chocolate malts with a wooden spoon.  It is strange now to think that we have had season tickets to the Padres since Barret and I started dating.  I have probably attended hundreds of games by this point.   It is a lot of fun to go to the games, but I feel as if it is the fact that I get a break from my kiddos and I get a dinner out in the Gas Lamp that is really the fun part for me.  Either way it is a night off and I have learned to really look forward to the games even though the baseball game itself I could take or leave.

With all this baseball around me Barret has decided that the boys will start t-ball on Saturday mornings.  The boys go out in the afternoon to practice and I must say they have a blast.  Here is the most recent of batting practice with Druw actually pitching the ball to Jake.  I love that Druw claps after Jake hits the ball each time…

  1. The Window Factory says:

The theme of this year’ San Diego County Fair is “Taste the Fun”, so The Window Factory is proud to announce their “Win Dough” contest where if you draw you’re guaranteed to win. Prizes include a family-friendly, four-pack of tickets to the Padres. Some prizes are worthy of being saved for a date night like gift certificates to The Greek Village Café, Escalibur Cigar and Wine Lounge and The Casa Del Reyes in Old Town.
There are also coupons offering discounts up to 50% off the price of vinyl windows from The Window Factory. Just come by booth 1236 in O’Brian Hall on any Saturday or Sunday during the fair, between 9:45 AM and 5:45 PM.
Put your information down on a slip with your phone number and every hour The Window Factory will pick two names. If your name is selected you will receive a text message to come draw a prize. Extra names are drawn if someone does not come to draw and even if you don’t find out you were selected until hours later you can come by later and still make a pick.
Remember that unlike the fried dough at the fair the dough from The Window Factory will leave you smiling for days.
