Who is Druw?

2009-april-padres-012

So Druw doesn’t talk so I couldn’t do an interview with him. I thought I would just tell you a little bit about him.  He is 2 years old.  He does do a little sign language which has helped with the eating, wanting more and being ‘all done’.  Druw is the most cuddly little guy.  He likes to sit and just cuddle on the couch when he is not running around like a crazy man with his brother.  Lately he has decided that he is not going to nap everyday.  It would actually be fine with me but he can’t make it all day and has a tendency to fall asleep in his high chair at dinner.

Druw’s favorite person to play with is Jake.  On days Jake has school he can play on the floor with his toys alone, but after a while he wants to go get Jake and show him what he is working on.  They definitely have this love-hate relationship.  Druw always wants to play with Jake but 9 times out of 10 he ends up crying and running to me.  Druw is a very picky eater.  He must get that from his brother (and me).  He loves juice and milk and would much rather drink all his calories rather then eat food.  I think it just slows him down and couldn’t probably stop to eat.  It is just easier to drink on the run.  He does love yogurt and strawberries.  Druw loves to dance.  Anytime a TV show comes on with music you will find him twirling around the room.  I think that Mickey Mouse Club House Hot dog dance may be his favorite.  He also loves Winnie the Pooh.  We have recently gotten Disneyland passes and Druw just loves to see Pooh.  The first time we saw Pooh he just ran up to give him a hug and I literally had to pry him away.  Druw is my water baby.

2009-april-disneyland-003He is not scared of the water or going under the water…it is a little frightening because when he see a pool he just wants to get in.  Druw has become addicted to his “baba” (thanks Cora).  That is the pacifier.  He should only go to sleep with it, but he just is obsessed with it recently so we will need to find a way to do away with it soon.  Druw is finally starting to talk after 6 sessions of speech therapy and a lot of worry on my part so hopefully next year he can give his own opinions.
